NEE - Title Card

Noxy EastEnders, by Noxy Productions - is the company's first ever foray into fan fiction. The project was announced on 1st March 2016, to mark the WX5Mash forum event, of which it was the debut project. The show picks up at Episode 5233, originally broadcast on BBC One on Monday 22nd February 2016.

The Noxy version of EastEnders boasts a new look title card. Instead of the familiar grey arial view of east London, it is now a closer-to-earth arial view of Albert Square itself. The logo has moved from the top of the screen to the bottom-right hand corner, signifying the 'south east' location of EastEnders. The logo itself is now backed onto a semi-transparent turquoise bar, which philosophically represent the River Thames, as in the BBC's title card. However, the Noxy title card also shows Walford in the background as well as Albert Square, to demonstrate to the audience that 'Albert Square is not the whole world.'

The Noxy title card has a warmer, down-to-earth look than the BBC's, which Noxy's says will reflect her take on the show. However, she has also stated that she will not fundamentally change what EastEnders is, but simply put her own stamp on it. She has also stated that she wants her version to be dramatic and surprising, but to move away from what she feels is the 'sensationalism' and 'drama for the sake of drama' tone that she feels the real show can sometimes exhibit.

In the project's first feature article, Noxy announced that popular former regular Tanya Cross would be returning to Albert Sqaure with a new surname and family in tow - the Steels.

As of 10th March 2016, there have been two episodes of the project. Noxy has said there is no target number of episodes, and the project will continue 'indefinitely, but probably not forever.' Episodes are published sporadically, but Noxy hopes to be able to publish 'at least two per calendar month.'

In May 2016, the project was officially discontinued.
